Scalable SaaS for product management optimization

Parlay Concepts’ product management tool was designed to be a customizable and scalable solution for teams looking to manage their processes, resources and collaborative work in one place while also offering the ability to generate reports and presentations from within the tool in quick & easy steps. I led the MVP design of the product with the goal of creating a tool that was purposeful for the entire organization and was customizable to every project’s needs.

Designing for everyone’s needs

The product was required to be useful for the executives as well as for individual contributors. To this effect, I designed the screens so that the Dashboard offered an “at a glance” view to the executives and a layered detailed view to the ICs based on needs. Critical information such as new project or blocked project were also added to the Dashboard for quick notification and action.

Feature designed to let you present anytime in a format of your choice

A huge pain point with existing tools was that while users put all their work details in one place, they had to redo the work once required to present the project or report on the progress. We designed a critical integrated feature that allowed users to take any information from any project within the tool and generate three different types of reports and presentations. This made the process easy and efficient for the end users.

Scalable and customizable for any project’s needs

The end product was a tool that provided a scalable and customized end-to-end solution for a project lifecycle with the ability for teams to tailor it as per their needs, split their project in phases, add details to each phase and finally generate desired outputs to present their work to relevant groups.

Results

Successful MVP launch of the product resulting in business growth.
